Chris Hopper has served Ed Castro Landscape for over a decade joining the firm in 2001. Chris is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture with an emphasis in Design Build. Chris has guided many large residential projects from conceptualization to completion, acting as design consultant and contract administrator. Chris' attention to detail has allowed him to create outdoor environments that exceed client expectations. Chris is also Ed Castro Landscape's Director of Southeastern Flower Show Construction and enjoys the challenge of building exceptional gardens indoors. In his free time, Chris enjoys gardening and outdoor activities with his wife and two children.

Hannah Seaton joined Ed Castro Landscape over a decade ago as a designer with the firm in 2003. Hannah has now worked her way up to the consulting level and also holds the position of assistant design studio manager reviewing designs, training, and developing standards for the company. As a residential design consultant, Hannah has worked on design build projects of all sizes and scope. Hannah's portfolio includes a variety of high end residential landscape/ hardscape design and construction packages. She enjoys taking a project from an idea to reality through design and installation management. "The best part of my job is seeing the project evolve and making sure the design intent is met and the Homeowner's expectations are met and exceeded. It never gets boring." Tianchi (Chelsea) YouEXPERIENCE
Tianchi joined Ed Castro Landscape in fall 2016, following her summer internship in 2015. Tianchi received her Bachelor of Agriculture in Landscape Architecture degree in China and Master of Landscape Architecture degree in the University of Georgia. Since she joined Ed Castro Landscape, Tianchi has worked on different scales of residential landscape designs and renovations around Atlanta area, assisting in commercial landscape projects such as Atlanta City Hall, Little Nancy Creek Park and multiple Fulton County government building landscape renovations, contributing her advanced computer skills in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suites, and SketchUp to design idea illustrations and presentations. Tianchi is dedicated in creating meaningful human-scale landscape environments that celebrate the balance between embracing nature and comfortable living. It is the inner eagerness to improve human living environment that motivates her to keep curious and challenging herself in the design process. Susan M Ludwig brings 25 years of innovative design, development and redevelopment work to the public spaces team. Her portfolio contains an assortment of urban development projects varying in scale and urban context. Susan has worked with both public and private clients in developing and implementing best-practice planning models, progressive policy, and technical design/build assistance to foster development initiatives; facilitate partnerships; create a vibrant communities; and preserve and enhance sense of place.
Susan obtained her Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University, Master of Landscape Architecture from the Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at Louisiana State University- concentration in sustainable urban design and development, and Bachelor of Science in Renewable and Sustainable Resource Management from the University of Louisiana.

Charles Shipp recently joined Ed Castro Landscape as a member of the design team. He brings a wide range of work experience to the company, including private landscapes, parks and public spaces, institutional planning, as well as urban design and community planning. While in school at Auburn University, he assisted in the site analysis and master plan for the B.B. King Museum in Mississippi, the creation of a Comprehensive Zoning and Development Plan for Macon County, Alabama, and was an officer with the AU student chapters American Society of Landscape Architects and American Planning Association.
Since working in Atlanta, he has contributed to designs for the Atlanta Beltline, Ponce City Market, Georgia Tech, and Piedmont Park, as well as a variety of single and multifamily residential landscapes. Charles brings a passion for exceptional design, with a keen interest in regional and vernacular design. In his free time, he enjoys art, gardening and volunteering in the community.EDUCATION

Wintana is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering. She recently joined the ECL team in 2017 as an intern and now she is a full time Landscape Estimator. She comes in everyday with the eagerness to learn and grow as person, and hope to contribute to the company's success by bringing in new projects .
Wintana enjoys travelling and spending quality time with family and friends outside of work. She also loves cooking and trying different types of food from other parts of the world.
Production & Installation
Susan graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. She is a professional Horticulturist experienced in design/build project coordination, operations, procurement, retail and landscape management, vendor relations, inventory control and accounting. Her education and years of working within the field have afforded her extensive experience in dealing with ornamental landscape elements, including familiarity with plant material and hardscapes. She has worked in both the retail and landscape divisions of the green industry, holding titles including Senior Horticulturist, Nursery Manager. Purchasing Manager, General Manager and Project Coordinator.
At Ed Castro Landscape, as the Project Coordinator, Susan is responsible for providing purchasing support in the areas of proposal development, installation, design, maintenance, ornamental care and horticulture. She coordinates with ECL staff to ensure the availability and price of materials are accurate and handles the logistics of timely supply during the installation process. She also handles vendor relations, including sourcing new suppliers and materials, improving buying strategies and handling purchase orders, as well as reconciling invoices.
Jeremy Green brings over 20 years of experience to his role as Project Manager/Design Consultant with Ed Castro Landscape. His skill set and expertise in landscape design/build, civil engineering, commercial landscape management and execution are a great fit for the Ed Castro brand. Jeremy’s familiarity with managing complex, high profile landscape projects, and maintaining long-term client relationships, is an enormous asset to ECL. Jeremy enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family and 3 children. He has been coaching little league football and baseball for the past 10 years.

Chris grew up in the business, as his father owned a small family operated landscape company in Arlington, Virginia. Chris Lucy joined the Ed Castro Landscape team in May of 2015. He brings 11 years of field production and quality control experience in both high end residential and commercial landscape maintenance. As a field manager with Ed Castro’s Enhancement Department, he directs daily production, scheduling, training, rating and safety protocols. Chris demands excellence from himself and each crew member. Through hands on site training, leading by example and site inspections, Chris holds his team accountable to consistent improvement. He enjoys spending time with family, friends and working out at the gym. Certification: Pesticide Application license Georgia Urban Ag Council.
Dave joined Ed Castro Landscape in December of 2014 as the Director of Maintenance. In order to better serve and manage our clientele, both residential and commercial, Dave provides an energetic and proven track record toward team building, customer satisfaction, commitment to quality and process improvement. With over 20 years experience in the metro Atlanta green industry, Dave brings a highly focused skill set that pivots on the firm knowledge that any team is only as good as the crews on the ground. Under Dave’s leadership, the current and future success of the ECL maintenance division will be driven through the professional growth and development of leaders. His passion for aligning and mentoring individuals with landscape industry potential, uniquely positions ECL to strategically expand while not compromising the service quality so vital to our clients and brand.
Most recently, Dave served with distinction as the Branch Manager of the former Brickman Group’s Alpharetta office. During his ten year tenure, he doubled gross revenue over a 4-year span while averaging a yearly contract renewal rate of over 90%. Dave has the most pride however, in recognition of his highly effective and efficient crews: “The team we built, reflected an unwavering focus on consistent, quality performance; daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, and the success we achieved was due, in no small part, to incredibly low turnover driven by a group of professionals who truly believed in, and were passionate about, pulling in the same direction.”
Along with Ed Castro, Rick Olsen and Cindi Wiley, Dave will serve on the ECL Executive Committee. He currently lives with his wife and two boys in Woodstock, Georgia where he is involved as a coach with East Cobb Baseball, Cherokee Youth Basketball and Etowah Junior Lacrosse. Originally from Fairport New York, Dave attended St. John Fisher College and has been working in the Atlanta green industry since 1995.
Chris graduated with a 2002 AS degree in Horticulture from Spartanburg Community College (SCC) and then went on to receive a BS in Horticulture from Clemson University in 2004. Chris won numerous awards, including Horticulture Student of the year at STC, and coming First in Landscape Installation at the ALCA competition.
Chris has been at Ed Castro Landscape since 2005. He currently sells maintenance and enhancements to current and potential clients. He also assists with over 100 high end residential properties to ECL exacting standards, serving as a client liaison, safety manager, and fleet manager. Steve joined Ed Castro Landscape in November 2016 as the Shop Manager and Lead Mechanic. Steve’s role is imperative in promoting a well-organized fleet, with regard to safety, functionality, and communication. Steve brings 18+ years of landscape ownership and management experience, running the gamut from client management, team leadership, and fleet maintenance. Steve compliments his role at ECL with his solution-oriented approach and proven understanding of the industry overall. A key strength he brings to this role is the understanding of how his work effects all elements of the ECL business. Since joining the team, Steve’s emphasis on putting processes in place to maintain functionality of assets, inventory, record-keeping, and vendors has significantly increased efficiency in the department. He is dedicated to training employees and peers on these processes to extend the life of a fleet and increase cost effectiveness. Steve is very proud of his accomplishments since joining the ECL team “I’m proud to work with a group of professionals open to and accepting of my inputs for improvement. This is a company that is willing to make the necessary changes to improve the bottom line and ultimately, better serve our customers, while recognizing our impact on the environment.” Steve has lived with his wife and three children in Marietta, GA since 2015. The family are recent transplants from the Detroit Area, which they originally called home. An avid outdoorsman and family man, Steve enjoys fishing, music, travelling, and building family memories.
In 2014, Hayden graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor in Sport Management. He was a four time lettermen of the Georgia Southern Men’s Golf team where they went on to win two conference championships and competed in three NCAA Regional Tournament appearances. Afterwards, he continued his education and received a certificate in Turfgrass Management from Penn State University. Hayden previously worked in the golf course industry for nearly eleven years. He worked on a course growing up and eventually became an assistant golf course superintendent at three different courses. He has worked multiple PGA Tour events as well as the US Mid Amateur Championship at the Capital City Club. Hayden was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, and moved to Atlanta in 2016. Hayden enjoys hanging out with friends, watching sports, and playing golf.
Rusty Adkins joined the Ed Castro team in April 2018. He brings 15 years of field production and quality control experience in commercial landscape maintenance. As a former commercial supervisor with Ed Castro’s maintenance department, he understands what it requires to build teams, drive quality service and work closely with his clients. Rusty currently lives in Dahlonega, GA with his 8 year old son. Rusty coaches baseball and soccer while also running and keeping up with a small tree farm in the mountains of Georgia.
Kathy Powell has had a career in Administrative and Accounting roles, with over 20 years experience in and outside of the landscape industry. Since being with Ed Castro Landscape, she is responsible for Accounts Payable and assisting Ed Castro in his day-to-day responsibilities, while keeping company’s Events and Educational Calendars up to date.
Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and working in her own yard with her 2 cats in tow.
Melissa BurnsEXPERIENCEMelissa joined Ed Castro Landscape with a strong knowledge of both cash and accrual accounting systems, Melissa has been responsible for multi-fund budgets ranging from $10 million to $100 million. She has experience in all aspects of financial forecasting, resource allocation, fund management, accounting and control. Administrative expense reductions have resulted in a 30% increase in profits, while improving overall staff morale and client confidence. Jane participated in raising over $10 million in venture capital to finance various manufacturing startups and joint ventures. Melissa has managed strategic planning for six public and private organizations including development of mission statements, clarification of objectives, coordination of planning teams, and achieving acceptance and implementation of plans. She directed the design and installation of five user-friendly and responsive executive management information systems for use in multi-million dollar organizations.
Meredith Jedlicka is an Auburn graduate with a background in horticulture and design. She enjoys creating functionally beautiful outdoor spaces utilizing a variety of design styles and botanically unique plant selections.
