Brick Colonial (Revival)
The Property
When Ed Castro Landscape (ECL) was approached to work on this project, it was a brick colonial home that required updates to its front entrance and outdoor living spaces. With lead designer Wesley Arasmith, ECL aimed to blend traditional elegance with modern functionality. The objective was to transform the exterior into a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment that matched the timeless architecture of the home.
Challenges & Successful Solutions
Maintaining the historical integrity of the colonial revival style while updating the front entrance, walkway, and patio posed a challenge. ECL redesigned these areas to improve aesthetics and functionality, enhancing the home’s curb appeal.
The front entrance was transformed with meticulously laid steps and pathways, framed by lush, strategically placed plantings that added color and texture. A blue stone terrace was added to create a sophisticated outdoor living space, perfect for relaxation and social gatherings.
The installation of new plant containers, sod, and front garden plantings provided a fresh and vibrant look, enhancing the overall beauty of the property. These updates seamlessly harmonize with the existing architecture, resulting in a beautifully enhanced landscape that highlights the elegance of this brick colonial revival home.
