The Property

This new construction project, a modern storybook home, needed a landscape design to match its unique architecture. Designer Chris Hopper collaborated with Ed Castro Landscape (ECL) to develop a comprehensive plan featuring synthetic turf terraces, crushed gravel pathways, and gardens throughout the property. The goal was to create a serene oasis, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal.

Challenges & Successful Solutions

Varied terrain and extensive grade changes presented significant challenges. ECL worked closely with the builder to address these issues, ensuring smooth integration with the new construction. Synthetic turf terraces provided low-maintenance greenery, while crushed gravel pathways enhanced accessibility and visual appeal.

An advanced water reclamation and drainage system was implemented to effectively manage water needs and promote sustainability. Despite the uneven terrain challenges, ECL successfully created a beautiful, functional landscape that enhances the modern storybook home.
